Wedding Reception Table Linens

The hotel where we are having our wedding has only white linens. I would like to use copper table toppers over the white linens (my florist suggested these) to go with the copper vases we are using for the centerpieces.

What color napkins would you recommend? Or should we use ivory linens to go with the copper vases and get copper colored napkins.

Our Thoughts

The idea of the cooper overlay is a great one and will add a good texture to the overall wedding design, so I would definitely go in that direction. If you are renting the overlays from a local rental house or a specialized linen vendor (they are out there and have a big selection), they typically can recommend a matching or close to matching napkin.

Keep in mind that linens can get costly though so if it is in the budget to get a beautiful cooper overlay and not the napkins, go with the white napkins offered by the hotel and use the extra money towards your florals.

Remember that your underlay linen is white, so the white napkin will work, and let's be honest - it is a napkin. Napkins are typically unnoticeable especially with your cooper vase centerpieces and overlay taking center stage.

Napkins inevitably end up on the backs of chairs after use or on the floor, so go for the overlay and enjoy your event!

Wedding Reception Table Set Up

We are having a small wedding in our church hall. The wedding ceremony will take place on one end and the wedding reception at the other end. Only cake, punch and coffee.

Should I put the cake and punch on one large table? Coffee on another? Or a table for each?

Space is not a problem? HELP.

Our Thoughts

If space is not the problem in the wedding reception area, then I would suggest putting each of these serving pieces on their own table. This way you will lessen any chance of long lines and back-up.

Regards,
Danielle
