Wedding Bouquet Preservation

by Amy
(Houston)

Hi! I love the idea of preserving my bouquet in a shadowbox or bubble frame, but the prices are soooo high on most sites.

Does anyone know of a reputable company who is more reasonable?

Thanks! I would really appreciate your help!

Our Thoughts

Over the years we have used two flower preservation companies which are posted below. Our understanding of why these companies’ costs are on the higher side is due to the extreme method that the flowers go through to be sealed and encased to last forever.

Some flowers, like tulips, cannot even endure the process. An alternative to this process is to have a silk flower artist reproduce your bouquet with really high quality silks and place them in a shadowbox.

We have seen silk pieces that are just remarkable, and the costs are much more reasonable. Good Luck!

Preserving Flowers as Pressed Floral Art
by: Mary Beth Lopresti of All Seasons Floral Preservation

Another method of preserving flowers is to have them pressed and used to create framed artwork. This method appeals to brides who are looking for a beautiful, yet less bulky, way of preserving their wedding flowers.

Once a bouquet is received for preservation, it is photographed and each flower is taken apart so that the petals can be individually pressed. This allows for quick drying and the best, long-term, color retention. Our floral artist will create a work of art after "rebuilding" each flower with the pressed petals. Often brides have the floral art replicate their bouquet. Other options would be to include an invitation, program, or photo with the pressed floral design.

Brides select the background mat color, frame size/style, and design layout for their floral art. Every piece is custom designed and we enjoy working with each bride to create a unique work of art with her wedding flowers.

We have 2 Virginia locations (Sterling & Charlottesville) for brides who live locally and want to have their flowers hand delivered to us. Our website http://www.allseasonspressed.com has complete (yet simple) instructions on how the flowers can be safely shipped to us from anywhere in the U.S.

Prices are based on the frame size and layout of the artwork. While there may be some "sticker shock" when first viewing the prices, one must consider the time that goes into each work of art ~ taking apart each flower, pressing each petal, rebuilding every flower, creating the custom-designed artwork, and archival framing. It is a great value to be able to enjoy your bouquet forever as a work of art. If preserving your flowers isn't in your wedding budget, we have gift certificates available.
