Is it alright for the groomsmen to be kin to the bride?

Dear Cheryl,

Yes. A groomsman can be related directly to the bride's side.

The bridal couple's wedding party can be made up of whomever they choose to help share their BIG day with - their entourage or honored royal court.

Most people feel obligated to include siblings which for the most part is tradition, but when it comes down to it the wedding party should be made up of friends and family that are truly close to the couple and who love and support them unconditionally.
