Tip of the Month Wedding seminars are a great way to learn about planning a wedding and to get answers to your toughest questions. There are usually several wedding vendors in attendance to share ideas and thoughts about many different topics. Check in your local area for locations. If you live in New Jersey, Pennsylvania or New York click here to learn more about an upcoming seminar.
Bridal Q & A This month's question is from Loni who writes: "I am getting married in 7 months. My fiancé and I had decided to hire a caterer for the reception due to the lateness of the wedding (5:30) after some discussion he suggested that we do heavy hors d’ oeuvres instead to save on money. We are also having cocktails at the wedding. If we do hors d’ oeuvres would that seem un formal and "cheap" on our part to our guests. We also thought to put it in the invitation."
A Cocktail Wedding Reception has become a very popular thing to do (so popular we created a page on our website for it). Not only can it potentially save you some money, there are a few other benefits to having a reception like this. Frequent feedback from wedding guests is that the food served at cocktail was better than the main meal. Also it allows for easier mingling amongst your guests. There is no reason that you can't have a classy, elegant cocktail wedding reception. If you want you can simply state on your invitations that a cocktail reception will follow the ceremony. To your wedding!
